Operations Project Manager

We are looking for an Operations Project Manager to join our Supply Chain Engineering team in Suunto headquarters in Vantaa, Finland.

You belong to the global Supply Chain Management function and Engineering team, whose main task is to develop and support supply chain solutions to new high-end sport watches and dive computers.

As Operations Project Leader you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, timely ramp-up´s of high quality products as well as building capabilities for after sales success. You are a team-player and you co-operate closely with other cross-functional development areas within the organization. You enjoy working with products, which you use yourself.

Responsibility areas:

  • Responsible of creating supply chain solution for each new product
  • Participates as a core team member representing Operations and Consumer Care on new product programs
  • Ensures successful new product ramp-ups
  • Coordinates other SCM teams in programs and transition to production
  • Participates in development and maintenance projects
  • Drives continuous improvement within job function

We expect the suitable candidate to have the following qualifications and skills: 

  • Proven project management and coordination skills
  • Hands-on attitude, pragmatic and self-starting mindset
  • Proactive, results-oriented and efficient team player who is used to work with tight deadlines
  • Six sigma quality certification is seen as a benefit
  • Experience of production lean principles
  • Bachelor of Science / Master of Science level education and minimum of 5 years experience on relevant area
  • Good communication skills both in English and in Finnish
